DeAja & Michael met during their freshman year of college and developed a great friendship for a year before beginning to date following sophomore year. They had made many great memories from attending lots of formal parties together, and Michael asked DeAja to be his girlfriend once she moved to New Jersey in the summer of 2015.

After 6 and a half years of dating, Michael took DeAja back to where everything began and proposed under one of the most notable building on West Chester University's campus on January 8, 2022. He had been planning this day for months and DeAja (definitely!) did not see it coming. It was an unforgettable night.
